How the keys were read
- New marks: pound, cent, and yen. Also a coin period, a comma, curly quotes, an apostrophe, a greater-than, an underscore, and a closing brace.
- The pound and the yen also arrived with a coin beside them, and that coin matches the period, so those copies were not added again.
- The ivy dragons are the parentheses. The one opening right is (, and the one opening left is ). The earlier pair is in the locker.
- Ivy updates are on q, m, p, u, x, y, and z. Lowercase v is the two strokes. The coiled dragon is the 6. d, k, and r were already these paintings.
- The wood dragon is lowercase f. The ivy f is in the locker. The ivy dragon with the curled tail is lowercase t.
- The ivy dragons are lowercase d, k, m, p, r, u, y, and z, and the dollar sign. The older m and dollar are in the locker, with a flame d and a flame k.
- The long dragon is lowercase w. Capital W stays the gold one.
- The scale coil is the 9. The dragon that used to be on 9 is in the locker. Lowercase g is the dragon with the gold ball.
- The budded scale is lowercase i. The thin gold i is in the locker. The gold hooks are [ and ].
- The flame-tail dragon is capital L. The scaled dragon that used to be on L is in the locker.
- The ingot dragon, turned upside down, is the 7. The leaning gold stroke is in the locker.
- The gold vine is capital J. The green dragon that used to be on J is in the locker.
- The scaled n with the bolt is lowercase n. The plain gold arch, and the dragon that used to be on n, are in the locker.
- The blue-bellied dragon is capital S. Capital B is the gold dragon with the hole. They curl the same way, but they are not the same painting.
- Capital Y stays the dragon.
- The eye stays on $. A plainer gold dollar is in the locker.
- The scale tail is the apostrophe. The glitter hook is in the locker. The tall curl is the brace. The wood bar, matching the equals sign, is the underscore.
- Held back: a slim parenthesis, a thick curve (read as another closing parenthesis), a glitter S, a gold 9 with an ear (say if it is a g), and another gold c. The gold 1 in this set was already in the locker.
